Outlook Contacts Editing Existing Contacts

You have created a number of Contacts and now you need to edit one or more of them to do things like edit or change an email address, phone number, or even company. Make sure your view is set to "List" (Home tab of the ribbon has this item). Do the following to go to, read through, open a Contact, and edit information in that Contact. When you are finished, move to the link at the bottom of this page titled "BACK" to go to the "Outlook Lessons" web page.

1. Open Outlook.

2. Press and hold down the Control key and hit the number 3.

3. Release the keys.

4. Down arrow through the list of your Contacts until you hear the one you want.

5. Hit the Enter key one time and you are in the "Full Name" edit box of the Contact you selected.

6. Hit the Tab key again-and-again until you hear the information you want.

7. Edit the information such as changing an email or phone number. Remember that when you Tab into an edit box the information will be automatically highlighted, so all you need to do is type in the new information.

8. Press and hold down the Alt key and hit the letter s to save and close. You will be returned to the Contacts list.

9. Practice the above steps until you are quick and accurate.
